New service - Birmingham TMJ Physiotherapy !

NEW SERVICE – BIRMINGHAM TMJ PHYSIOTHERAPY ????

I’m really excited to finally launch something that Suhail and I have been working on for the last six months.

Birmingham TMJ Physiotherapy is now open at our Harborne 
clinic.

And there’s a very personal reason why I wanted us to develop this service.

Through my work in men’s and women’s pelvic health, I see many people living with persistent pain. Over the years, I started noticing how often patients with pelvic pain would also tell me about jaw pain, clenching, headaches, facial tension or TMJ problems.

Some had been searching for help for their jaw for months and simply didn’t know where to go.
That really resonated with me.

Pelvic health has taught me how frustrating it can be to live with a specialist condition when it feels like nobody quite knows where to send you.

And I realised there was a very similar problem with TMJ.
There simply aren't enough physiotherapists with a genuine specialist interest in treating jaw and TMJ problems.

So rather than simply adding “TMJ” to a long list of conditions treated by a general physiotherapy clinic, we wanted to build a dedicated service around it.
That’s where Suhail comes in.

Suhail has a real passion for TMJ physiotherapy and brings excellent experience in assessing and treating these problems. His approach includes specialist manual therapy, skilled soft-tissue techniques around the jaw and facial region, movement rehabilitation and, where appropriate, additional techniques such as dry needling and electroacupuncture.

Our new service will help people experiencing:

???? Difficulty or pain opening the mouth
???? Facial pain and tension
???? Headaches associated with jaw dysfunction
???? Clenching
???? TMJ dysfunction
???? Associated neck pain

For me, this is about much more than launching another physiotherapy service.

If you're living with pain that affects eating, talking, sleeping or simply getting through your day, it isn't a minor problem.
You deserve to see somebody who understands it and has deliberately developed expertise in treating it.

I’m incredibly pleased that after six months of work we can finally say:
Birmingham TMJ Physiotherapy is NOW OPEN. ????
