Specialist Men’s Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
PHILIP DELANEY

Philip is part of Gerard Greene’s specialist team, working alongside Gerard as part of the Birmingham Men’s Health Physiotherapy clinic.

Philip Delaney is part of Gerard Greene’s specialist team, working alongside Gerard as part of the Birmingham Men’s Health Physiotherapy clinic. He is a trusted clinician in complex male pelvic pain and other male pelvic health conditions.

Gerard has known Philip since his BSc Physiotherapy training at Coventry University and has watched him develop into one of the most dedicated clinicians in this field.

After graduating, Philip began his career in Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy before specialising in Men’s Health. That broad MSK background is central to his approach. He assesses the whole picture , not just the symptom and understanding how the pelvis, spine, nervous system, movement, fitness and lifestyle all interact.

Philip is one of the few male physiotherapists in the UK specialising extensively in male pelvic health. These conditions are personal, often embarrassing, and frequently misunderstood. Patients value seeing someone who understands both the science and the sensitivity involved.

What Philip Treats

    Philip works extensively with:
  • Male pelvic pain
  • Hard Flaccid syndrome
  • Pudendal neuralgia
  • Urinary hesitancy & post-void dribble
  • Overactive bladder
  • Erectile dysfunction (including young ED)
  • Post-prostatectomy urinary incontinence & ED
  • These are complex problems. Philip provides clear answers, structured plans and evidence-based treatment and not guesswork.

Why Men Choose Philip

  • He listens.
  • He explains clearly.
  • He gives you a plan you can follow.

Outside the Clinic

Philip is a dedicated family man. When he’s not in clinic, you’ll often find him exploring National Trust gardens with his family, at the local GAA pitch, or back in Ireland enjoying the scenery.

He’s a big rugby fan , following Munster Rugby and Ireland, although these days his active involvement is with his son’s club through the Gaelic Athletic Association, where he also hopes to train as a junior hurling coach.

Previously a competitive powerlifter, Philip understands first-hand that fitness is a journey. These days he’s gradually returning to strength training while enjoying gravel cycling alongside family life.
