Meet Natalie: Our brilliant new Kings Health Pregnancy, Post Natal & Women's Health Physio
A top local graduate from the University of Birmingham Natalie has extensive pelvic health experience working in both the NHS and private sector. This has allowed her to work alongside some of the West Midlands leading gynaecological and urological consultants.
Natalie has specialist interests in pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence and bladder re-training and often incorporates a musculoskeletal background into the assessment and management of these conditions and symptoms. She is also very gifted at treating pregnant ladies with pelvic girdle pain.
As a leading track and field athlete Natalie has also a keen interest in helping getting post-natal women back to sport and exercise and has particular skills in these areas especially around rectus diastasis (tummy gap ) , pelvic girdle and low back pain and sports related pelvic floor dysfunction. Natalie draws on her pelvic health and sports medicine and musculoskeletal expertise to help these women. . She is also experienced in Pilates based exercises and enjoys utilising these during sessions.
As a qualified acupuncturist she is very interested in how this can assist the treatment of pelvic health conditions. She alongside Gerard will also lead the musculoskeletal and sports injuries acupuncture provision in the Kings Heath Clinic.
Outside of work she is a dedicated track and field athlete who trains 6 days a week. This may be in the form of gym work, swimming, cycling or track sessions. She runs for Cannock and Stafford Athletics Club and was extremely proud to have represented them at the British Championships last year in her main event, the 400m hurdles.
Natalie is another strong addition to our pelvic health team of 6 physiotherapists and she will work closely with Fiona, Lisa, Gerard & Sundeep. She is very excited about serving the women of the Kings Heath and wider South Birmingham areas.
